Phil, the malamute, isn’t a fan of bath time. It doesn’t matter how dirty he gets; he uses every tactic in his repertoire to pout and escape the dreaded bathtub in the most adorable way possible.
Confined in the bathroom with his owners, Phil gives his best effort to evade entering the tub. He gazes at the wall, attempts to hide, and even sheds tears to avoid the unpleasant bathing experience. Surprisingly, not even the presence of a baby or the cat can convince stubborn Phil that a bath is a good idea.

Apparently, Phil’s last bath was two months ago. Since then, he has been a busy boy, frolicking in ponds, streams, and dirt, resulting in his dirty state. However, Phil couldn’t care less. Although he may enjoy being in water, he has no interest in the clean and fresh kind.

Phil is fully convinced that taking a bath is not in his best interest. He sulks and pouts, utilizing all his doggy power to resist getting washed. Nevertheless, his dog parents firmly believe that he needs a bath, and the truth is, he truly does.
Therefore, they turn to the internet for advice and receive some helpful tips. One suggestion involves using peanut butter, so they bring out the jar. However, Phil isn’t easily fooled. He slyly takes a lick, but when his dad applies peanut butter inside the bathtub, Phil remains uninterested.
Another suggestion is that Phil might be afraid of slipping in the tub. As a solution, they place a towel at the bottom for him to stand on, but even this clever ploy fails to convince him. He refuses to give up on his aversion to baths so easily.
Since nothing can persuade Phil to cooperate, his fur parents admit they have to resort to stronger measures. They have to physically lift the “dead weight” into the tub themselves and proceed to wash him clean.
Unfortunately, the best part of the story is not captured on video, leaving us to only imagine how Phil felt about it. The good news is that his bath is now over, and he is free to play and get dirty again until the next time.
