Passengers are delighted by the dog’s insistence on greeting everyone on the train

Golden Retrievers are probably one of the best family dogs out there, wouldn’t you agree? Their thick and shiny golden fur and attitude around people are qualities anyone would want from a dog.

To any commuter (given they are not afraid of dogs) who is having a bad day, petting an adorable dog can definitely be of great help. And in choosing the right dog to pet, you might want to consider this one.

Everyone, meet the friendly dog on the train, Huxley!

Huxley and his owner, Ursula, travel a lot and they often take the train as their primary mode of transportation. Thankfully, London is a pet-friendly city and most public utility vehicles allow pets like dogs on board.

Oftentimes on their train rides, Huxley will try to get other people’s attention simply by staring at them. And when a passenger somehow gives him a sign that they want to pet him, the Golden Retriever will walk close to them or even sit beside them for a handshake.

However, when Huxley’s new-found friend stops petting him, he will give them that “Why did you stop? Pet me some more!” eyes. You know, that begging watery eyes like the ones you usually see in animated movies?

But most of the time, people love him!

Who wouldn’t want a quick good snuggle time with a fluffy Golden Retriever?

Let us also not forget that dogs have the ability to somehow sense whether someone is sad or going through a rough time. Huxley sure knows who needs him and his love, so expect him to pick the right target too.

“Ya know, I’ve been having a really rubbish day. This made my day,” Ursula said while trying to share what people said about their short but day-changing encounter with Huxley.

When they’re off the train, to hotels they go, and Ursula is always making sure she chooses the dog-friendly ones. The minute Huxley and his doggo “brother” Hugo walk into the hotel’s entrance, it’s the other way around because the two will jump right on the front desk to greet the receptionists.

They will give them their “pet me” face as their tails wag non-stop.

What Huxley wants, Huxley gets.

This gentle giant will literally do anything to get what he wants and he knows every human’s weakness.

Whenever they go to dine and Huxley will not get the food he wants, the clever Golden Retriever will go to nearby tables and beg for food. He will give people his “puppy-dog eyes” and get bountiful treats afterward.

Thankfully, other diners don’t find Huxley a disturbance, not at all. The dog also knows his limitations and when someone doesn’t really want to be interrupted when eating. He is truly needy but also considerate.

At home, of course, Huxley wants not only Ursula’s but also her son’s attention. Whether her son is doing his homework, bathing, or watching the television, Huxley will always be there begging for his little human brother’s attention.

He gets jealous when he doesn’t get what he wants and when Ursula stops petting him, he gives that low little grumble. It almost feels and looks like Huxley forgot he’s no longer a puppy and that he’s already a grown canine.

Huxley might be needy and jealous at times but Ursula doesn’t mind. She loves both Hugo and Huxley the way they are and wouldn’t want it any other way.
