The internet-breaking moment transpired during Team USA’s exhibition game against Canada at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Wednesday. With 5:32 remaining in the third quarter, Team USA forced a turnover from Canada and the ball ended up being in LeBron’s hand in transition.
The four-time NBA Finals MVP took one dribble and hurled a quick one-handed pass to Steph, who was running on the left side. The stage was set for a highlight play that would send the social media into a frenzy.
After collecting the pass from LeBron James, the Golden State Warriors’ poster boy didn’t even take a dribble. Curry lobbed the ball right at the rim from his left hand and perfectly set up what was to come next.
