Linebacker that trash talked Bills’ Josh Allen last week will see him again on Sunday

Linebacker Ernest Jones IV is picking up some serious frequent flier miles this season.

Jones, 24, is on the move for the second time this season. His latest move is from the Tennessee Titans to the Seattle Seahawks. On Wednesday, it was announced that the Titans were moving the linebacker to the Seahawks in exchange for linebacker Jerome Baker and a fourth-round draft pick. That means that Jones will be playing the Buffalo Bills in back-to-back weeks.

Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald told Seattle media that Jones will immediately play middle linebacker and that the team will be moving Tyrel Dodson to weakside linebacker, a position he played in the past with Buffalo. With just days to learn the Seahawks’ system, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Josh Allen and the Bills offense attacked Jones as well as Dodson.

In the Bills’ mic’d up video from Week 7, Jones was shown trash talking Allen. At one point during the Titans’ 34-10 loss, Jones told Allen, “You can’t f— with me, yo.” Allen will get a chance to do just that on Sunday afternoon from Lumen Field.

Jones was previously traded from the Los Angeles Rams to the Titans back in late-August. The linebacker denied requesting a trade, but the Rams were looking to get rookie Omar Speights on the field and dealt Jones and a 2026 sixth-round pick to Tennessee in exchange for a 2026 fifth-round selection.

In six games this season, Jones has recorded 44 total tackles (3 TFL), one quarterback hit and two passes defensed.
