Allen broke a record long held by former Bills QB Joe Ferguson
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen now has sole possession of the second-most regular-season passing touchdowns in franchise history, passing Joe Ferguson (181 passing TDs). In classic Allen fashion, his latest franchise-defining moment was a play for the ages, connecting with rookie running back Ray Davis for a 63-yard catch and run blitz-beater against the Miami Dolphins.
Allen set the new franchise record of 182 regular-season passing touchdowns just halfway into his seventh season with the Bills. Now, Allen can set his sights on Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly and his 237 career regular-season passing touchdowns. As of writing, Allen trails Kelly by 55 touchdowns.
The question becomes when, not if, Josh Allen reaches those lofty heights set by Jim Kelly.
