Brookfield Zoo Announces Exciting Summer Concert Lineup

The Brookfield Zoo in Chicago is stepping up its Roaring Nights summer concert series for 2024, bringing back last year's thrilling live performances with an even bigger lineup crafted for music lovers and nature enthusiasts alike. This year's events are particularly exciting as the zoo gears up to host heavy-hitters from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s, including Better Than Ezra, Tonic, Third Eye Blind, and +LIVE+.

Commencing on June 21, 2024, these summer evenings at the zoo promise not just music but an immersive experience where attendees can engage with the zoo's "animal ambassadors" and enjoy the Ferris Wheel, which made its debut last year as part of the zoo's 90th-anniversary celebrations. The concerts, which spread from June through August, are set at 7:30 p.m. for the most part, with an extended evening planned for August 16 featuring a two-part performance from Tonic and Better Than Ezra.

Last summer, the concerts attracted nearly 13,000 attendees and sold out quickly. Remarkably, this year, general admission tickets start at $70, whereas there are attractive package deals available for those wishing to catch all three shows for $175. There's also a considerate option for families, as kids aged 11 and under can attend for only $15 with the purchase of an adult ticket.

Andrea Rodgers, the zoo's senior vice president of guest experience and operations, shared her enthusiasm: "Roaring Nights is a concert experience unlike any other in the city. This year’s lineup is packed with talent, and we’re excited to welcome guests back for another unforgettable season of summer evenings at the zoo." Such enthusiasm highlights not only the appeal of the concerts but also the zoo's commitment to creating memorable experiences.

This year's concert series is made possible, in part, by a Preserve Route 66 grant and the support of sponsors like Meijer, shining a light on the history and connection between music and community spaces.
