Zoo Atlanta Makes Education and Fun Accessible for Families with SNAP Program

Zoo Atlanta has recently unveiled an exciting initiative aimed at making the zoo more accessible to families in Georgia who are beneficiaries of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). This development is significant as it reflects a broader commitment to inclusivity, ensuring that all families, regardless of financial circumstance, can enjoy the rich educational and recreational opportunities provided by the zoo.

With the new program, guests who can provide proof of SNAP participation can purchase general admission tickets for only $6 plus tax. This offer applies to up to six admissions, and best of all, there are no blackout dates! Furthermore, children under three can enter the zoo for free, further easing the financial burden on families. This initiative highlights Zoo Atlanta's dedication to breaking down barriers that prevent families from experiencing the wonders of wildlife.

In addition to the affordable ticket prices, SNAP participants also have the option to purchase a family membership for just $50. This membership offers unlimited daytime admission and valuable discounts within the zoo for a full year, accommodating two adults and up to four children. However, this new initiative signals the end of the Zoo Atlanta Library Pass program, which will conclude on June 1, 2025. For those who have been utilizing library passes through the Georgia Public Library Service, there’s still a chance to check out passes until May 31, 2025. It's important to note that any vouchers already accessed through this program will be honored until June 30, 2025, allowing for a smooth transition for families who have relied on this previous offering.
