The "Big Bugs" exhibit is sure to be a hit with families and children, showcasing animatronic representations of various insects such as butterflies, praying mantises, bees, spiders, and even dung beetles. This interactive display not only entertains but also educates guests about the vital roles these insect species play in our ecosystems.

Tim Morrow, President and CEO of the San Antonio Zoo, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "These larger-than-life, awe-inspiring creatures crawl, buzz, and flutter to life, bringing bug-sized wonders to a giant scale." He added that the event will allow visitors to explore fascinating bug-related facts while capturing memorable photos.

In addition to the main exhibit, an “Insecteria” pop-up tent will open from Thursday to Sunday, offering plush bugs and edible insect snacks. Visitors will have the chance to taste crickets, scorpions, and more, making this a hands-on learning experience that engages multiple senses.

Access to this incredible attraction is included with standard zoo admission, and it is free for zoo members. The San Antonio Zoo encourages everyone to come out, learn, and enjoy an adventure that promises to be both educational and entertaining.

As we look forward to the warmer months, one can’t help but wonder how initiatives like this will continue to shape our understanding and appreciation of nature, particularly the often-overlooked world of insects. Will this exhibit spark a greater interest in conservation efforts for these vital creatures? We’d love to hear your thoughts on the upcoming "Big Bugs" display at the San Antonio Zoo!
