Audubon Zoo Reintroduces Adult-Only Pool Party This Summer
This summer, the Audubon Zoo is turning up the heat by bringing back its much-anticipated adults-only waterpark night series, dubbed the "Sip + Dip." This event is more than just a splash in the pool; it’s a unique nightlife experience in a zoo setting, allowing adults over 21 to enjoy the Cool Zoo Waterpark after hours with live DJs and refreshing water attractions.
Daine Appleberry, senior vice president for the zoo, expressed excitement about the return of this successful series. "We had such a positive response last year that we decided to offer more opportunities for people to join the fun," Appleberry said. The event will run on Friday nights starting May 30, inviting guests to unwind in a grown-up oasis as they float down the lazy river or relax on a lounge chair.
The Cool Zoo, typically brimming with kids during the day, will transform into a vibrant venue featuring multiple themed nights. Each Friday promises a different vibe, encouraging attendees to pick their favorite music genre and enjoy the ambiance with friends. Themes lined up for the summer include "True Colors Pride Night" on June 6, "Over the Rainbow Pride Night" on June 27, and a couple of R&B themed nights in July and August.
Tickets for the event are set at $50, granting access to the park starting at 7 p.m. For those looking for an elevated experience, VIP packages are available, which include food options and earlier entrance. Guests will also have the option to purchase additional food and drinks during the event, ensuring an enjoyable evening filled with entertainment and relaxation.
Highlighting the unique features of the Cool Zoo, attendees can look forward to attractions such as the alligator water slide, water-spitting snakes, and a 750-foot lazy river.
