Dinosaurs Roar Back to Milwaukee County Zoo in Exciting Summer Exhibit

This summer, the Milwaukee County Zoo has thrilled visitors with its return of animatronic dinosaurs, showcasing more than 20 full-size exhibits as part of the "Exploration Dinosaur" exhibit. This grand display not only sparks the imagination but also offers educational insights into prehistoric life.

Located behind the zoo's Small Mammals Building, the exhibit includes scientifically accurate animatronic models that bring to life some of the most iconic dinosaurs, such as the ferocious T. Rex, the plated Stegosaurus, and the heavily-armored Euoplocephalus with its club-like tail. Each model is designed to be both an entertaining and educational attraction, captivating the attention of both children and adults alike.

Sponsored by Meijer and staged by Billings Productions, the exhibit is not merely for show. It runs through October 5, ensuring plenty of opportunities for families to experience the thrill of the dinosaurs. Additionally, the zoo is hosting a series of educational programs called Roar & Explore, taking place every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. throughout the summer. These interactive sessions allow children to engage in fossil hunting and learn about the importance of protecting the habitats of living animals in Wisconsin.

Admission to the Exploration Dinosaur exhibit is just $4 per person, in addition to the regular zoo admission, making it an affordable option for family outings. This initiative is a great way not only to entertain but to educate the public on the historical significance of these magnificent creatures and the ongoing need for wildlife conservation.

As families flock to witness the moving exhibits of their favorite dinosaurs, it raises a bigger question: How can we ensure the protection of living wildlife similar to how we learn about the extinct giants? We invite readers to share their thoughts and experiences at the zoo this summer. Have you visited the exhibit? What are your favorite dinosaur facts? Your comments and perspectives are invaluable to creating a vibrant community around wildlife appreciation!
