From interactive educational programs for toddlers to themed summer camps and adult adventures, the zoo aims to inspire a deeper connection to wildlife and the natural world.

Highlights of the schedule include "Nature's Newbies," a hands-on program running on April 15, 16, and 19. Tailored for children aged 1-3, this program features free-choice play stations, songs, and an opportunity for little ones to meet a Zoo animal ambassador. Additionally, the "Stroller Safari" event on April 22, 26, and May 20, 24 offers a guided exploration designed for parents and their young children, creating a nurturing environment for early learning through storytelling and animal exhibits.

For slightly older kids, the "Zoo Tots" class from April 24-26 will immerse 3-5-year-olds in the wonders of nature through games, animal encounters, and crafts. Notably, adults are also catered to with the "Adult Zoo Camp" on April 27, where participants can learn and relive their childhood through behind-the-scenes experiences and animal interactions.

As summer approaches, the "Summer Camp" program from June 9 to August 1 offers campers a chance to explore the zoo every morning, engage in crafts, and enjoy exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences. Special events like "Party for the Planet" on April 19 will celebrate Earth Day, Endangered Species Day, and World Ocean Day with fun activities to promote conservation awareness among attendees.

Moreover, the "ExZOOberation: Riverfront Rendezvous" on May 3 marks a celebratory evening commemorating 100 years along the Trout River, featuring food and beverage tastings and live performances. Local creativity will shine during the "Art in the Garden" festival on May 10 and 11, showcasing handcrafted goods amidst the beauty of the zoo's gardens.

Exclusive member events such as "Yoga with Penguins" on select dates and a "Bunny Bash" on April 19 provide additional unique experiences, emphasizing a sense of community and engagement.

The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens has served as a beacon of wildlife conservation and education for over a century, boasting an impressive collection of over 2,000 rare and exotic animals. As a proud member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, it dedicates a portion of every ticket sold to conservation initiatives locally and globally.
