Just before the tag deadline on Tuesday, the New York Giants and Daniel Jones agreed to terms on a four-year deal worth $160 million. The pact includes $35 million in additional incentives, $82 million over the first two years, and a first-year cap number of $19 million, per NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.

Lamar Jackson didn’t reach an agreement with the Baltimore Ravens as the team slapped him with a non-exclusive tag that will pay him $32 million next year. Also, a team can offer him a bigger deal that will allow the Ravens to match or let him walk while receiving multiple draft picks.
The amount of money being given out has Micah Parsons thinking about a position change. The Dallas Cowboys linebacker took to Twitter and had this to say about the ton of money given out to QBs:
“I’m switching to Qb!,” Parsons joked on Twitter.

Aside from this offseason, Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson would get traded from the Houston Texans last offseason and then sign a five-year, $230 million fully guaranteed contract. Soon after that, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray agreed to a five-year extension worth $250.3 million deal.
After making his team wait just like this year, Aaron Rodgers would ink a three-year, $150 million deal and Russell Wilson would sign a five-year, $245 million contract before playing his first game as a Bronco.
