Buffalo Bills Will Lose Star Player For Several Weeks

The Buffalo Bills will be looking at playing a long stretch of football without one of their team captains.

The Bills updated the media on Friday about the injury Terrel Bernard suffered in Thursday Night’s win over Miami. The star linebacker is expected to be out for at least a couple of weeks and the team could place him on the injury reserve.

Players on IR need to miss a minimum of four games. NFL teams can designate up to eight players to return from IR during the regular season (and up to 10 if they make the postseason) and an individual player can be so designated twice.

Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Bobby Babich talked about how the injury with the media late last week.

Bernard was only one of two players, along with Josh Allen that were named a team captain this year. Bernard joins All-Pro linebacker Matt Milano on the injury list.

Baylon Spector took over linebacker duties in Miami on Thursday night and is expected to fill in while Bernard is out with this injury. We could also see “Buffalo Joe” Joe
Andreessen get some playing time in Bernard’s absence.
