QB1 put the team on his back to end the streak for the Chiefs!
The nerves were at an all-time high for Bills Mafia, who saw their Buffalo Bills in a 4th down position in Kansas City territory. They were only up by two points, and there were two choices; kick the field goal and hope the defense can hold Patrick Mahomes, or go for the knockout punch.
Sean McDermott wanted to end this game and he kept the offense out on the field on a 4th and 2 situation and there was no doubt that the Bills needed to convert. If the Chiefs had stopped Buffalo, all that Mahomes would have had to do was get into field goal position to kick a walk-off win against the Bills.
Enter Josh Allen, and the hope was that he would be the one that has the ball in his hands to convert for Buffalo. Not only did he manage to pick up the first down, Allen put the final nail on the coffin of the Chiefs’ undefeated streak by running 26 yards for a Bills touchdown just outside of the two minute warning. His score put the Bills up by two scores which essentially put the writing on the wall for Kansas City.
Without his bravery, we might be talking about a different end result to this game. Allen put the team on his back in the biggest moment of the game and delivered yet another win for the Bills.
Josh Allen on his game-sealing 26-yard touchdown run against the Chiefs: “Just made a play… anytime you give the ball back to Pat and that offense down six.. wanted to get 7 to make it a two score game… I’m going to do whatever I can to help this team win.” #Bills #BillsMafia pic.twitter.com/xHf5cJ9KOl

Josh Allen knew he needed to make a big play
Per Alex Brasky, Allen spoke on the biggest play of the game and how he needed to find a way to make it a two score game to put the Chiefs in a tough position.
The Bills have seen the Chiefs make a comeback with a limited amount of time. They went for the knockout punch and it paid off big time for them. Allen has fallen short against the Chiefs in too many situations and he refused to see it happen again.
With this clutch play from Allen, the Bills move to 9-2 and have taken the tiebreaker advantage away from the Chiefs. Even though the ultimate goal is to eliminate Kansas City out of the playoffs, they should enjoy this win and they get to enjoy over their bye week.
