Bills fans can’t help but laugh at Aaron Rodgers’ comments after another Jets loss

You hate to see it…

While the Buffalo Bills handed the Kansas City Chiefs their first loss since Christmas Day last year and moved to 9-2 on the year, the New York Jets dropped to 3-8 after another disappointing loss. Bills fans had to hear all about how their team was finished over the offseason while the Jets were crowned as AFC champions before the season even began.

Well, we can see now how silly all of those conversations truly were. The Bills are the same strong team they’ve been throughout the Josh Allen era while the Jets continue to be… well, the Jets. Aaron Rodgers hasn’t been the savior that Jets fans were promised and Rodgers sounded defeated following the Jets’ eighth loss of the season.

“I’ve figured out a way to do this for a long time so you’ve just got to remember why you fell in love with this game.”

Bills fans will love how defeated Aaron Rodgers sounded after latest Jets loss

As mentioned above, people wrote the Bills off in the offseason because they lost a lot of key contributors in free agency. Meanwhile, the Jets were getting Rodgers back from injury so clearly they were the favorites in the AFC East, right?

We know now that the Jets are the same old Jets and that Rodgers hasn’t been able to help them and not only that, he hasn’t been playing like the same Rodgers we saw in Green Bay for all of those years. Rodgers has looked like a 40-year-old quarterback coming off an Achilles injury yet before the season started, people thought he’d be enough to propel the Jets to a division title and Super Bowl run. You can’t make this stuff up.

The even funnier thing about the latest Jets loss is that for a minute there, they looked like they were piecing it together only for it to fall apart once again. The Jets were up 27-22 with a little under three minutes remaining in regulation. The Colts marched down the field in under two minutes and scored a touchdown to take a five-point lead.

With time on the clock to try to get to midfield and attempt a game-winning field goal, Rodgers was sacked twice and time eventually expired. The Jets lost another winnable game and now, at 3-8, any chances they had at making the playoffs are officially dashed (NFL Next Gen Stats gives them a 2% chance at making the postseason).

While the Bills need to finally put up or shut up when the playoffs come along, it’s been nice seeing the Jets continue to stumble after hearing so much praise for them in the offseason.
