Bills’ Josh Allen Reveals Catalyst From ‘Not Ideal’ Start to Turnaround

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was pleased with the second-half bounce back against the Tennessee Titans.

The Buffalo Bills’ 34-10 win over the Tennessee Titans at Highmark Stadium looks straightforward for Sean McDermott’s team. However, it was anything but.

The offense punted on its first three possessions before getting together somewhat with a touchdown drive, but it proved to be a false dawn, with punts on its next two drives to end the first half.

Josh Allen was four for 11 with 65 yards passing before the offense woke up in the second half, piling on 27 unanswered points to run out easy winners.

Allen was pleased with how the team responded in the second half despite the horror start.

“Yeah, not ideal to start the way we did,” Allen said. “Our defense kept us in it long enough where we figured it out … we just found a way. It didn’t look like it was going to be pretty in the first half but to win the way we did speaks a lot to the guys in that locker room.”

As Allen stated, it’s not ideal for the offense to start as they did, but at least they found a way to make things happen in the second half.

No disrespect to the Titans, but when the Bills come up against higher-quality opposition, as they did against the Baltimore Ravens, slow starts will be punished.

So McDermott, Allen, and [offensive coordinator] Joe Brady must figure out how to avoid the slow and sloppy starts if the Bills are to make serious inroads during the postseason.

But Buffalo did turn it around. Now, it must work out how to avoid “turning it around” in the first place.
