Even though the Bills head into their bye week, they can focus on getting ready for their Week 13 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.
The Buffalo Bills will have a stress-less week as they will go into their bye week this coming week. Riding a six game winning streak, the Bills can rest up and get extra time to prepare for a Sunday Night Football matchup against Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers. After taking a couple weeks off from primetime, the Bills are back in it in front of Bills Mafia.
The 49ers are usually near the top of the league in terms of winning, but this has been an odd season for them. They are currently 5-5, second in the NFC West and will travel to Green Bay this Sunday for a tough NFC battle with the Packers. They are going into this game with a little bit of injury on their roster.
One of those injuries that the 49ers have to deal with involves one of their star players on defense. Defensive end Nick Bosa has an oblique/hip injury that will be monitored throughout the week per Kyle Shanahan, according to Adam Schefter.
The Bills may have a fantastic advantage against 49ers in Week 13
Even though it is too early to figure out whether or not Bosa will be available for the 49ers in Week 13, him popping up on the injury list could play a significant role in him not playing. Hip/oblique injuries are not easy injuries to heal from very fast so there is a chance that Bosa ends up missing primetime football against the Bills.
San Francisco already has one of the toughest defensies in the league and it’s because of players like Bosa, Fred Warner, and former Bill Leonard Floyd. Potentially not having to deal with Bosa would create an advantage for Buffalo’s offensive line. Even though Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown have been solid this season, Bosa is among the elite pass rushers in the league.
We still have well over a week until we learn more about Bosa’s injury but it is important to keep in mind for Buffalo. There is a big difference for game planning if Bosa is in or if he is out.
