Buffalo Bills star pokes fun at Jets after team fires head coach Robert Saleh

Dion Dawkins has not been shy regarding his feelings about the New York Jets.

The Buffalo Bills’ left tackle went off on the Jets organization this offseason stating how much he hated the organization.

“I hate them. All of them, bro,” Dawkins said in an interview with VladTV. “When it comes to sports, right, there’s people that play the sport because they love the sport, and then there’s people that play the sport just to to try to be cool. I feel like they play the sport to try to be cool. Like, those are a bunch of dudes that just want to take pictures on Instagram. That’s whack.”

Based on his feelings about the Jets, it should come as no surprise that Dawkins poked fun at the team after they fired head coach Robert Saleh on Tuesday. Dawkins went to X, formerly Twitter, and shared a brief message.

Dawkins could have written, “I told you so,” but he got his point across less than two hours after the Jets moved on from Saleh.

New York currently sits at 2-3 after losing a close matchup to the Minnesota Vikings in London. Saleh’s defense had performed well all season, but the team’s offense, led by Aaron Rodgers and Nathaniel Hackett, has not come close to meeting expectations through five games.

The latest reports surrounding the Jets say that Saleh was thinking about relieving Hackett of his duties before Jets owner Woody Johnson decided to move on from the head coach. New York named Jeff Ulbrich, their defensive coordinator, as their interim head coach after parting ways with Saleh.
