A safari visitor saw an incredible and lovely scene of a mother leopard bringing her newborn puppies across a road.
Thinus Delport, 64, told his children to start singing as he was exploring the Kruger National Park in South Africa in an effort to draw the animals out. Surprisingly, it had fruitful outcomes.
Visitors can be heard making cries of awe in the background of the video as they watch the lovely leopard mother and her kids in the bushes next to the road. The spotted animal quickly noticed that her young weren’t with her, and calmly waited for them in the center of the road before slipping back and sitting in front of the bushes where they were hiding.
While multiple vehicles stopped to watch and guarantee their safety, the adorable cubs crossed the street politely. Their mother then brought them back for another attempt. One of the kittens got away from the others and made the decision to take a nap in the middle of the road while wailing for its mother.
The mother quickly grabbed the youngster by the neck and led it in the right way before disappearing once more into the bushes as the cub tried to alter its mind.
Even though large cats can be seen in the Kruger National Park, it’s quite uncommon to see a mother leopard moving her cubs.
Mr. Delport observed the animals crossing the road for more than six kilometers between Lower Sabie and Crocodile Bridge. He reportedly said: “My daughters and I left the camp early in the morning in search of leopards,” according to Latest Sightings.com. They were positive that there were no leopards in the Kruger since neither of them had ever seen one. To my surprise, it actually worked when I playfully convinced them to start singing in the car while we were driving in an effort to attract the leopards.
“Because it was her first time witnessing the Kruger, my daughter was the first to get out her video camera. I’m glad she did because if I had, the video could have been destroyed because of how nervous I would have been.
“In the more than 50 years that we have visited the Kruger, we have never seen anything like this.” This simply demonstrates the value of perseverance.
