The lion falls in love with the white tiger, they are really attached as a couple

Life hasn’t always been kind to them; they were bred at a zoo in New England for one purpose only: to make ligers.

Cameron was 200 pounds underweight at the time, and Zabu had genetic defects caused by breeding. They were both recovered a few years later, thankfully.

“When Zabu and Cameron were rescued, we constructed a large natural enclosure for the two of them to share since they are truly bonded as a couple.”

They were transported to a new refuge and kept together after being rescued.

Cameron became quite possessive of Zabu after a while, which meant he was a threat to his caretakers.

“We had only two choices; separate him from Zabu forever or neuter him”

So they decided to neuter him, which meant he lost his gorgeous mane, but it was a tiny price to pay to stay with his true love.

The two enjoy each other’s company, running around, nuzzling, and taking peaceful naps.
