After Tom Brady’s retirement, if any quarterback is considered the face of the NFL, it’s the Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Throughout the offseason whenever there had been a list of top quarterbacks in the league, Mahomes has remained number 1 constantly.
However, it appears Mike Greenberg doesn’t agree with it as he surprisingly snubbed the three-time Super Bowl champion from the top spot and bizarrely gave it to Aaron Rodgers, who sat out the entire 2023 season and missed his team’s mandatory minicamp for a trip to Egypt.
Well, Greenberg choosing the New York Jets’ star quarterback above everyone else is certainly no surprise as he is a die-hard fan of the team and therefore can be said biased with this top six quarterbacks list comprising Rodgers, Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, CJ Stroud, and Jordan Love.
Interestingly, snubbing Mahomes from the top spot wasn’t the only shocking part about Greenberg’s list as he didn’t even mention the Cincinnati Bengals’ star Joe Burrow in the list– another name added constantly to the top quarterbacks list.
While talking about the Jets’ quarterback with high praise, the Jets fanatic analyst also predicted a bright and happening future for the Jets claiming Rodgers will make a drastic comeback in the coming season. Backed by Rodgers’ words on his injury recovery, the analyst believes the signal-caller will retain his prime form.
With the Jets having six out of the first eleven primetime games in the upcoming season, all eyes indeed are on quarterback Rodgers. Many believe if Rodgers plays to the caliber of his prime days, the Jets will surely become Super Bowl contenders. ‘
