NFL fans all say the same thing after Eagles star Saquon Barkley’s 300-yard game against the Rams

NFL fans are calling for Saquon Barkley to win NFL MVP after his incredible season with the Eagles continued on Sunday night.

The running back amassed a remarkable 302 total yards in Philadelphia’s 37-20 win against the Rams, scoring 70-yard and 72-yard touchdowns at SoFi Stadium.

Barkley rushed for 255 yards from 26 carries – a single-game record for the Eagles and a career high for the 27-year-old.

Barkley also had four receptions for 47 yards as the Eagles moved to 9-2. Earlier on Sunday, the entire Giants offense managed just 245 yards against the Buccaneers.

The former New York star now has 1,137 yards for the season – behind only Derrick Henry in the NFL for 2024.

He left the field to chants of ‘M-V-P’ and this performance reignited the debate over who should be win the award, with many fans believing Barkley should now pip favorites Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson.

‘If the season ends tomorrow, Saquon Barkley is the NFL MVP. Great for him and he deserves all the success in the world after leaving the #Giants,’ one said on social media.

‘I know the NFL has rechristened the MVP as a QB only award…  but if Saquon keeps this up you cant tell me with a straight face Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen deserve it over him!’ another said.

‘I’m dead serious when I say Saquon Barkley might be the MVP front runner right now,’ a third insisted.

No running back has won the award since 2012, when Adrian Peterson was rewarded for a season that included  2,097 rushing yards.

‘How about we put respect on the RBs too. Saquon Barkley should definitely be in consideration for MVP,’ a fourth wrote on social media.

‘Saquon Barkley, you have just made yourself the leader in the MVP race,’ another said.

The Eagles star is now around +650 to win the award with some bookmakers, behind only Bills quarterback Allen and Ravens star Jackson.
