Some shocking news emerged on Thursday regarding Dallas Cowboys star cornerback Trevon Diggs. Diggs is reportedly being sued by a former landlord for unpaid rent and late fees after defaulting on his lease.

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the lawsuit details that Diggs owes former landlord Rose Marie Yadegar $33,500 in unpaid rent and late fees. He also owes an additional $11,000 for the final two months of his lease during which the landlord couldn’t find another tenant.
The lawsuit details that Diggs was leasing a home in Frisco, Texas, and only paid one month’s worth of rent causing him to be evicted in July of 2022. Rose Marie Yadegar is seeking up to $250,000 due to all of these factors in her lawsuit, according to WFAA in Dallas.
This is obviously extremely concerning news considering Diggs should have more than enough money to pay back these fees on an NFL contract. Many fans took to social media to offer their take on this lawsuit Diggs is facing.

Trevon Diggs is still on his rookie contract, but that still isn’t exactly an excuse for a professional NFL player not being able to cover these costs. In his three years in the NFL, Diggs has earned over $2.6 million from the Cowboys, and that is before you add in a number of endorsements that the star cornerback has inked since debuting in Dallas.
There are obviously two sides to every story, but at the moment this is certainly not a good look for the Cowboys star defender.
