Remarkable discovery: Perfectly preserved 200-year-old mongolian monk’s mummy unearthed!

“The incredible story of the mummified remains of a 200-year-old Mongolian monk, seemingly still ‘alive’, has shocked and amused people around the world.”

“In order to be transported to the Netherlands, the mummy was placed inside a Buddha statue when it was discovered in the Mongolian region of Songinokhairkhan in January 2015. Experts identified the mummy as being that of a monk who had undergone self-mummification, a demanding method of self-denial and preservation used by many Buddhist monks in Thailand. Japan, Tibet, and China.

The monk, who has not been identified, is believed to have died about 200 years ago and his remains were mummified using a combination of meditation, fasting and drinking a special tea made from a toxic plants. Tea helps to kill bacteria in the body and preserve meat.

What has shocked scientists and scholars is that the monk’s body appears to be “alive”. Despite being dead for two centuries, the mummy’s skin is still soft, and the veins and internal organs are still intact. According to experts, this is a sign of the “unbelievably successful” embalming process.

Since its discovery, the mummy has been taken to the National Forensic Examination Center in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia for further study. The researchers hope to learn more about the monk’s life, his mummification process and the reasons behind it.

In summary, the finding of the “alive” mummy has generated a lot of discussion among scientists and the general public. It serves as a reminder of the mysticism and grandeur of ancient customs as well as the incredible feats that humankind is capable of.
