Stephen Curry Posts Sweet Note to Ayesha Curry for Their Anniversary: ‘Still Loving Every Moment of It’

The couple first started dating in 2008 and then exchanged their “I Dos” on July 30, 2011

Stephen Curry might be overseas for the Olympics, but he can’t help but celebrate another year with his wife Ayesha!

On Tuesday, July 30, the NBA star marked his 13th wedding anniversary with Ayesha — all while he’s in Paris competing on the men’s U.S. basketball team for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

“13 years in and still loving every minute of it my woman! @ayeshacurry,” Stephen, 36, wrote on Instagram. He captioned the carousel post with four adorable photos of the couple.

In the first photo, Ayesha, 35, is seen softly smiling while she holds onto the four-time NBA champion, who stands with a serious face for the camera.

The next image includes the happy couple at a dining table, as Ayesha hugs her husband from behind while he sits smiling wide in a chair.

The father of four followed up with a cheeky image of the couple as he posed and The Seasoned Life author looked directly at the camera while pursing her lips.

He concluded the carousel with a photo of the couple on their wedding day, bright-eyed and beaming. The NBA legend was seen in a three-piece gray suit, while Ayesha donned her veil and strapless ruched wedding gown.

The couple, who tied the knot on July 30, 2011, first met in 2003 as teenagers — when he was 15 and she was 14 — in a North Carolina church.

After a few years apart, the two reconnected in Los Angeles in 2008. Ayesha had moved to L.A. to model and act, and Stephen was in town for the ESPYs.

However, Ayesha previously confessed to PEOPLE she “didn’t know what the ESPYs were.” In fact, she had a self-imposed “no athletes” policy when it came to her love life. But eventually, the couple went on their first date, and their relationship quickly blossomed.

Two years later, Stephen proposed to Ayesha under the pretense they were headed “to a family cookout,” he previously told Parents. “So we pulled up to the house and I stopped in the middle of the driveway, got down on my knee and went into my spiel. Little did I know the whole family was looking out the window.”

They married the following year at the Ballantyne Resort, in North Carolina, with approximately 400 guests in attendance.

One year after they exchanged their “I Dos,” they welcomed their first child, daughter Riley, on July 19, 2012. Three years later, they welcomed their second child, another girl, Ryan, on July 10, 2015.

Then in 2018, they welcomed their first son Canon, who was born in February 2018. And most recently, they welcomed their second son Caius earlier this year on May 11.
