It rotates around its axis, revolves around the Sun, and, along with the solar system, orbits within the Milky Way Galaxy.
According to the blog “Ask an Astronomer” operated by a group of astronomers from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, Earth rotates on its axis at a speed of 1,670 kilometers per hour.
In addition, our planet travels around the Sun at a staggering speed of 110,000 kilometers per hour. As for the solar system, it also undergoes continuous movement.
The Sun, being part of the Milky Way Galaxy, revolves around its center. Scientists have deduced the rotation of the Milky Way by observing stars, as explained by astrophysicist Katie Mack from the University of North Carolina.
By studying the relative motion of stars compared to the Sun, researchers have determined that the solar system orbits the center of the Milky Way Galaxy at a velocity of approximately 720,000 kilometers per hour.
Even the Milky Way Galaxy itself is in constant motion within the vast expanse of the universe.
