Those same acorns have crashed through into the home after a “hoarder” of a woodpecker’s “unreal” collection of nuts, stashed away by a keen bird over months, were found in the walls.
Workers who were called out to the scene discovered a massive mound of nuts, piles and piles of acorns that amounted to around 11,100 calories worth of nature’s product.
A cut through the wall revealed the hefty collection of nuts, which are said to have fallen through into the inside walls after being deposited by a woodpecker.

Eight bags worth of woodpecker grub has since been hauled out of the walls, with an expert called in to deal with the vast amount of nuts.
Hundreds were delighted at the series of images that accompanied a Facebook post from the extreme pest control company, ABC7 reported.
Their post read: “Came across this on a job. Bird was a bit of a hoarder. Filled up about 8 garbage bags full of acorns weighing in about 700 lbs. Unreal never came across something like this.”
Hundreds of comments were left on the post, with some wondering why the nuts were removed in the first place.

One user joked: “Bro you should have left it in there probably make better insulation than the fiberglass.”
Another added the bird appeared to be a “doomsday prepper”, with one user initially thinking it was “maggots” coming out of the walls.
Extreme pest controller Nick explained the find, saying: “Clear woodpecker holes all over the house. Acorns stored all over siding and trim.
“Completely destroyed exterior of house with all the holes everywhere. This bird was crazy we actually saw him there when we were there putting more in the holes he created.”
